Game concept
You are a faun (a mythological creature) who has to defend a forest from an evil factory that makes ice cube bags. How are you supposed to do that? By cutting off the electricity, of course!

By running and jumping on various platforms you have to reach a set of buttons and deactivate them. A constant stream of acid rain clouds will come from the power plant, but by hitting those buttons you can slow it down. When playing the game, the trees in the background will slowly change into different phases, showing you how bad the condition of the forest is. When the forest is totally burned down, the game ends.

The game is a very basic platformer. As the faun you can't really attack the evil staff members, only avoid them. The faun have three lives, displayed as hearts in the top left corner, and when he dies (becomes paralyzed), you have to wait some few seconds before spawning, thus losing important time.

We focused a lot on the visual and audio feedback. When the faun is hit by a taser weapon, it is clearly shown by a set of animations. We also recorded over 30 different sound clips for this game, so you won't always hear the same line over and over again.

The game was developed from scratch using C++ and SDL.
